DK IB Collection: DP
The DP Collection is a selection of thirteen books from DK’s Big Ideas series that support the DP curriculum.
DK's books for the DP Programme support agency-led, independent learning, as well as reading skills and extended essay (EE) research. The highly visual, fact-packed books utilizes clear writing and simple design to convey complex concepts in a concise manner. With consistent format and design, the content in this collection is easily accessible and digestible for DP students.
The DP collection functions as supplementary material for the six subject groups and DP core principles. To support schools' existing DP curriculums. we also offer a free downloadable lesson plan written in consultation with IB teachers and experts.
The books have been organized into the following groups:

- The Arts
- Philosophy and the Theory of Knowledge
The books in the DP Collection serve the following functions:
- “Grab and go” resources for individual subjects
- Contributions to transdisciplinary units and projects

Books Included in the DP Collection
DP Lesson Plan
Designed to fit the DP Collection and support DP learning, the free downloadable lesson plan includes activities and tasks that incorporate DP core principles, including:
- Visible thinking tasks (based on Project Zero Harvard Graduate School of Education) that follow the IB values of fostering student agency and link to ATLs, the learner profile, and TOK.
- A “menu” of options for each text that suggests different ways of applying supplementary reading to coursework.
- Terms from each subject’s DP glossary that appear in bold to remind students and teachers of the key terms students must learn and apply on assessments and exams.
