DK Super Readers is an evolution of the ever popular DK Readers series, which has sold over 600,000 copies.
For readers aged 3 to 11, the series explores the exciting world of dinosaurs, animals, natural wonders, and more! All while developing vital nonfiction reading skills. Each title integrates science and social studies topics. The five levels increase in complexity and developmental appropriateness.
Stanford researchers found reading fluency among U.S. second- & third-graders to be around 30 percent below average*. DK Super Readers is here to get learners back on track. The benefits of nonfiction reading include becoming more knowledgeable and developing a thirst for learning as well as improving cognitive knowledge acquisition, concentration, information gathering, critical thinking, and study skills.

MetaMetrics®: The Lexile® Framework for Reading
The Lexile Framework for Reading is a scientific approach to measuring both reading ability and the difficulty of materials on the same developmental scale.
Reading materials get a measure based on factors such as their vocabulary and complexity. Children receive a Lexile reader measure from an assessment at school. Over 35 million students in all 50 states have been given Lexile measures.
A Lexile measure is an important tool to help find reading materials to match and challenge a child’s ability. It also helps teachers personalize learning by providing the best books to boost academic progress and success.
All DK Super Readers titles have a Lexile reader measure. The table shows the Lexile range for each of our levels.
