These ten KS2 lesson ideas are based on the book, DK Life Stories Nelson Mandela and cover English national curriculum objectives. The plan also contains cross-curricular links to History and Relationships Education. As they learn about Nelson Mandela's life and the apartheid, pupils will also learn about resilience. They will develop reading comprehension and research skills and have the opportunity to write a diary entry or a letter.
